Aiming to ensure the quality of water supply to populations, the Town Hall developed an intervention in the structure of the Montalvão Water Reservoir, carrying out the waterproofing of the interior, the replacement of the water supply column to the network, cleaning and washing, carrying out repairs to the concrete and reinforcement, as well as dignifying the infrastructure with an integral painting of the exterior of the tank.
BAU Special Solutions was the company chosen by the Town Hall for the rehabilitation of the reservoir.
According to an estimate made by the UN, by the year 2025, 40% of the world’s population will not have access to potable water. In European countries, only 48% of the mains water consumed by families is used for drinking purposes (food and baths), 52% of mains water is consumed for non-potable purposes (Bathrooms, Washing machines, irrigation, etc.). The rehabilitation of this type of structures is, in fact, very important!
